LABRIS received recognition as an outstanding conference organizer

On Tuesday, February 6th, the appreciation event for the Tartu Conference Ambassador Program took place at the Alexela Creative Hub, where outstanding conference organizers of 2023 were recognized and certificates were presented to new conference ambassadors of Tartu.

Among others, recognition was also given to the 10th Conference of the Scandinavian-Baltic Society for Parasitology (CSBSP10), organized by LABRIS in collaboration with the Scandinavian-Baltic Society for Parasitology, Estonian University of Life Sciences, and the University of Tartu. The conference was supported by Ministry of Regional Affairs and Agriculture.

According to Kadri Karu, Managing Director of the Estonian Convention Bureau, Tartu stands out as a destination for scientific and professional conferences, which helps to promote Tartu as a top center in many fields and strengthen international cooperation opportunities for local researchers and specialists. “We hope that the exemplary work and initiative of Tartu’s diligent conference ambassadors will inspire many other organizers,” said Karu.

LABRIS is thankful to the city of Tartu and the Estonian Convention Bureau for the recognition received. We also extend our gratitude to all who participated, presented, and contributed to the organization of the conference.
