The Tartu laboratories of LABRIS having the analytical capability for determining the indicators which must be included in the nutritional information and the analyses can be ordered as a package to either determine the nutritional information or only the energy content of a product.

The price of the nutritional information package includes fats, proteins, dry matter/moisture, ash, sugars, saturated fatty acids, salt – Na × 2.5, and calculated carbohydrates.

Depending on the matrix, the cost of determining the fibre content, strength, density, or general acidity may be added to the price of the package, as this information is required to calculate the carbohydrate content. For example, in the matrices of bread, cheese, yoghurt, sour cream, berries, juices, etc., a general acidity test is also conducted pursuant to the price list. In alcoholic products, density and strength are also analysed pursuant to the price list.

The test report includes the following: energy content (kJ/kcal), fats, incl. saturated fatty acids, proteins, carbohydrates, incl. sugars and salt – Na × 2.5. Other parameters (e.g. dry matter/moisture and ash, etc.) are not specified in the test report by default, unless the customer has specifically marked them in the cover letter.
