Moonika Musting has taken the role of head of the bacteriology-pathology department. Previously, Moonika worked as a leading specialist in the department. She is a highly experienced specialist in the field of bacteriology, with in-depth knowledge of the department’s operations. Her extensive expertise and experience form a strong foundation for successfully leading the department and addressing new challenges in her role as department head.
The former head of the bacteriology-pathology department, Epp Moks, will continue her work at LABRIS in a new capacity as a leading specialist in the animal health sector. Most of her tasks will focus on areas outside analytical work, such as coordinating AMR-related activities, managing specific reference responsibilities (e.g., AMR and parasites), overseeing biosecurity-related activities, preparing and implementing development and collaboration projects, and much more. While this is not a newly established position, it had remained vacant for some time, awaiting a suitable candidate.
