The presentations delivered during the day by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), our local partners and LABRIS specialists attracted strong interest and sparked insightful discussion. The meeting concluded with an informal discussion session, during which the organisation and content of future meetings were also discussed.
Such exchanges between experts are highly important, as they help bridge information gaps and promote more effective collaboration within Estonia’s research and development landscape. This meeting was made particularly valuable by the successful involvement of a broad range of partners from research institutions, including the Estonian University of Life Sciences, the University of Tartu, the National Institute of Chemical Physics and Biophysics, TalTech, and Centre of Estonian Rural Research and Knowledge. Representatives of the Ministry of Regional Affairs and Agriculture and the Agriculture and Food Board were also present.
Developing networking within the field of risk assessment is also an important priority within the framework of EFSA’s coordinated communication activities (MSCC).
